Going to a Cousins of the Wize show is like attending one big party–the seven member band really fills up a stage, running around crazily getting the crowd hyped up. And because the group spans so many genres, there’s a little something for everyone–the band’s upbeat hip-hop music is tinged with everything from reggae to jazz to alternative rock and includes a full band with guitars, saxophone and drums–not your typical hip-hop show. They play this Friday, July 16 at Martini Ranch with Tempe rock bands B4theH8 and Dilemma. Fun fact: Dilemma is signed to Rock Mafia Records, which gets a shout-out in Miley Cyrus’ single, “Can’t Be Tamed.”
