People are funny. Yes, you. Channel-surfing for novelty (“Seen it. Seen it. Seen it.”), you respond to opportunities to get off the couch with, “I never heard of that. I dunno what it iiiiiiiis.”
Well, that’s the whole point of the Phoenix Improv Festival (PIF), so stop whining and hustle over to Herberger Theater Center from. No known method can foretell what will transpire, but virtuoso improv performers make entertainment gold out of being put on the spot.
A few out-of-town troupes are on the bill, along with such local stars as Galapagos, The Jester’Z, Mail Order Bride, Dangerville, Mixed Nuts, and — could it be — the return of Apollo 12? (Yes, it could.) These people are funny, too. (Funnier than you.)
