If you’ve ever fantasized about walking the red carpet into a fabulous party filled with fashion and beauty, you’re probably a good fit for the Phoenix Art Museum’s screening of The September Issue. The award-winning documentary chronicles the collaboration of editors, designers, photographers, artists, and stylists that created the mammoth, four-pound September 2007 issue of Vogue. (The iconic mag sold more than 13 million copies and is now known as the “bible of fashion.”)
The film screens at 7 p.m. Sunday, September 13. It’s followed by an after-party that runs until 10:30. For $30, you can roll into PAM to enjoy red-carpet arrivals, gift giveaways from Neiman Marcus, sounds by DJ Funkfinger, hors d’oeuvres by Postino Winecafe and Copper Square Kitchen, and, of course, the film. Proceeds benefit programming for the museum’s fashion-design collection.
