When a hot co-worker you’ve been crushing on offers to show you the “flora down under” on your first date, there are a few ways to react: test out your right hook, walk away disgusted, or get psyched for a visit to the bush. Of course, much of that reaction will likely depend on your gender.

That is, unless the seemingly lewd suggestion is just a poorly worded invite to “Botanical Down Under,” a solo exhibition of John Maloney’s floral photography at Method Art.

Maloney’s vibrant chromographic prints capture the raw beauty of native blossoms from Australia. Each of the plant species’ depicted was brought over from the isolated continent to Europe or the Americas in the 18th century, and continues to grow there today.
