Near misses for the Triple Crown are common — only 11 of the 32 horses that placed first in both the Kentucky Derby and the Preakness Stakes have ever gone on to win thoroughbred racing’s most coveted prize. The last horse to take the Triple Crown, Affirmed, did so in 1978, and seven near misses have occurred in just the last 15 years. In other words: We’re due for a win.

On Saturday, June 9, three-year-old colt I’ll Have Another looks to become the 12th Triple Crown Winner in history, and racing and revelry fans can the showdown at The Turf Restaurant & Pub’s Belmont Stakes Blowout. With off-track betting and all-day drink specials, the Turf is the best place to watch history happen.
