It’s pretty easy to fall down a Wikipedia K-hole: a quick search for that one actor whose name you can’t remember in that one movie that you can’t recall leads to an afternoon eventually swallowed up by a carousel of click-throughs. In contrast, The Encyclopedia Show AZ keeps us on track with one topic at a time Saturday, January 18.
Taking a central theme from an actual encyclopedia, The Encyclopedia Show is a monthly collection of multi-genre performances by local creatives. It’s essentially a variety show that just might add an extra wrinkle or two to your brain. In this latest edition, encyclopediacs will muse and plumb the depths on the subject of exercise.
The Encyclopedia Show AZ is at The Empty Space in the ASU Performing and Media Arts building, 970 East University Drive in Tempe. The show starts at 7 p.m., and admission is free. Performances on different topics continue monthly through May. For more info, visit www.encyclopediashowaz.com.
