He may be America’s dad, thanks to his roles on the family-friendly Full House and America’s Funniest Home Videos, but Bob Saget is known for straddling the line between clean-cut comedy and dirty old man.
His Grammy-nominated special, That’s What I’m Talking About, features literal below-the-belt comedy about everything from his father to what’s in his pants and what’s in the audience’s pants. These days his act includes musical numbers about dating women in nursing homes, peppered with language that would make even the bluest comedians blush.
This weekend’s two-night stint at Stand Up Live will be his first club appearance since touring with the special, giving audience members the chance to be on the ground floor as he debuts new material — sure to be as filthy as ever.
Catch the comic at 7:30 and 10 p.m. Friday, January 31, and at 7 and 10 p.m. Saturday, February 1, at 50 West Jefferson Street. Tickets for the 21-and-over show are $32. A two-drink minimum is required. Visit www.standuplive.com or call 480-719-6100.
