There’s no shortage of professional sports teams in Phoenix. If you’re a huge sports fan, this is awesome, but also exhausting — actively rooting for six major pro teams is a time commitment on par with being a mediocre parent.
The Arizona Sports Fan Expo, running this weekend at University of Phoenix Stadium, 1 Cardinals Drive in Glendale, could prove a good way to cut into that time commitment. The event will feature every major sports mascot in Arizona, a host of sports training and fitness exhibits, a gaggle of pro athletes available for autographs, and countless people selling sports stuff, which means you could conceivably cover a year’s worth of photo ops and hat purchases in a single day.
Doors will open for Sunday’s expo at 10 a.m. and stay open until 4 p.m. Tickets for the event are $12 for adults and free for children under the age of 12
Sat., June 28, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.; Sun., June 29, 10 a.m.-4 p.m., 2014
