Did you know that summer peppers are typically spicier than their cooler weather cousins? Well, it’s time to harness some of that spiciness into delicious recipes over at Ollie Vaughn’s during a special Peppers Cooking Class on Monday, June 30.

Get your gloves on and get ready for things to heat up in the kitchen when baker and chef Lindsey Magee leads a small class through hands-on instruction on how to make the most of your in-season chiles. Plans for the evening include jalapeno marmalade, salsa verde, stuffed poblanos, roasted chiles, and, best of all, a spicy chocolate ganache that will add a kick to any dessert with which you top it.

The Peppers Cooking Class will start at 6 p.m. and run until about 8 at Ollie Vaughn’s, 1526 East McDowell Road. Space is limited, with the $45 class sign-up available in person at Ollie Vaughn’s only.
