When your reactions simultaneously include “Oh my god!” and “What the hell?” chances are strong you’re sampling something from the De’Lunula. This local coalition of contradictions aims to push our cultural palettes by offering alternative takes on art and social commentary, tackling everything from capitalism’s destruction of marriage to Russian spam tweets. Their latest experiment? The De’Lunula Screeners. This audio-visual anomaly will showcase videos by Lena Greene, Sergio Ybarra, and Rico Lee. In addition to the screenings, there will be a raffle, snacks, and perhaps a few other oddities.
The freaky show runs from 7 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, January 10, at The Trunk Space, 1506 Grand Avenue. Admission is $5. For more information, visit www.thetrunkspace.com or call 602-256-6006.
