There are people who put themselves into their work. Then there are people who actually put themselves into their work. Claire A. Warden is a member of the latter camp after using her own saliva during the processing of her photographs in “Mimesis: A Presentation of the Self.” Unsure of how the saliva would affect the negatives, Warden says she wanted to illustrate both the controllable and uncontrollable aspects in life and art. About 10 to 12 of these constructed photographs will be on view at Art Intersection, 207 North Gilbert Road, Suite 201, in Gilbert, through Saturday, January 10, 2015. Hours on Tuesday, December 23, are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. For more information about the free show, call 480-361-1118 or visit artintersection.com.

Tuesdays-Saturdays, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Starts: Dec. 13. Continues through Jan. 10, 2014
