Citizens for a Better Arizona, the committee that has forced a recall of state Senate President Russell Pearce, has announced a fundraiser for this Thursday, August 25, from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the law offices of Snow and Carpio, 55 E. Thomas Road, in Phoenix.
Randy Parraz, co-founder of CBA, sent out the announcement to recall supporters in an e-mail blast today, stating that,
“We need your support to fund our field campaign to educate and mobilize over 10,000 LD 18 voters who signed the recall petition. We are half way to our goal and your presence and support at this Thursday’s event would be deeply appreciated.”
When news happens, Phoenix New Times is there —
Your support strengthens our coverage.
We’re aiming to raise $30,000 by December 31, so we can continue covering what matters most to you. If New Times matters to you, please take action and contribute today, so when news happens, our reporters can be there.
You can read the entire invite, here. Parraz notes that those who cannot make the event can contribute to the effort at recallpearce.com/contributions.
Above is a little CNN piece on the recall. Since I hadn’t seen it, maybe some of you haven’t as well, which is why I’m embedding it here. Enjoy.
