This month, Valley Whole Foods are inviting folks into their stores to help them learn to shop on a budget. They’re calling it a “Value Tour.”

We’ll give you a minute to stop laughing.

Okay, so Whole Foods thinks that it’s possible to snag a basket full of organic, high quality food for cheap — you just need to know a few “tricks of the trade.”

Wanna know what the first trick is? Don’t shop at Whole Foods.

When news happens, Phoenix New Times is there —
Your support strengthens our coverage.

We’re aiming to raise $30,000 by December 31, so we can continue covering what matters most to you. If New Times matters to you, please take action and contribute today, so when news happens, our reporters can be there.

$30,000

Last time we were there, we accidentally spent $8.56 on fresh asparagus. $8.56?! That’ll teach us to grab something from the back of a display.

But seriously, if you are one of the lucky folks that can afford to shop at Whole Foods on the reg but want to learn ways to make it slightly cheaper, RSVP to one of their Value Tours by calling your local store.
