It’s a rather potent brew consisting of a combo of SoCo, vodka, and other spirits (as well as such crimson-hued ingredients as grenadine and sloe gin that provide its namesake color) that draws its name from Edgar Allan Poe’s short story “The Masque of the Red Death.”
“It’s probably the oddest drink we have here,” Alvarez says. “Overall, as far as bloody drinks go, this one only gets ordered a few times on Fridays because people pretty much will drink something regular like Grey Goose and soda or rum and coke.”
So does anyone ever get any Bloody Marys or even some Clamato?

The Red Death:
½ ounce grenadine
½ ounce vodka
½ ounce Southern Comfort
½ ounce Sloe gin
½ ounce peach schnapps
1 ounce orange juice
Mix all the ingredients (except the orange juice) into a collins glass or tumbler filled with ice. Then slowly stir in the OJ until the glass is full. Slide your copy of Twilight or the first season of True Blood into the DVD player and press play. Relax and enjoy.
