Gather ye stickybuns while ye may!
Tomorrow, May 27, is the last day in business for El Chorro Lodge, the Paradise Valley eatery where a scenic mountain view, killer eats (everything from eggs benedict to steaks) and old-school cool have earned it many Best of Phoenix awards over the years.
According to manager Jordan Williams, a sale of the historic property is in the works, although there is still paperwork to be signed. She adds that tomorrow they’ll be doing lunch service only, followed by complementary hors d’oeuvres in the bar from 3 to 10 p.m.
While there’s word that the property will be closed for an extensive renovation, nothing’s official yet.
