Remember the very first episode of Project Runway? You know, the one where Austin makes the corn husk dress? Love it. Running around food and fashion blogs lately are these amazing visual treats from famed Italian photographer Fulvio Bonavia. Bonavia is best known for shooting ad campaigns for luxury vehicles like Jaguar, BMW and Alfa Romeo. You can see he loves great design — and food is no exception.
To borrow one of the greatest lines in literature — albeit children’s literature — “Eat it or wear it,” as Mr. Hatcher puts it in Judy Blume’s “Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing.”
Of course he couldn’t have imagined this stuff. See more after the jump.
These photos are from his 2008 coffee table book A Matter of Taste. We can see why these photos get passed around even years later, they’re so mesmerizing. We can’t believe that it’s food, either. So fun.
