Now that you are for sure going out — because you are for sure going out — dive into our Cinco de Mayo 2011 Guide for a complete list of the where, what, and when.
Need help with that monster of a list? Jackalope Ranch went through and and picked 6 of their favorites. Check out the “Six Cinco de Mayo Celebrations Worth Your Pesos” here.

And if you’re wondering why a certain Phoenix favorite isn’t on that list, find out “Why Barrio Cafe’s Silvana Salcido Esparza Won’t be Partying on Cinco de Mayo” and we can assure you, it’s not because she’s a fun-hater.
Steak Nachos
We have to admit — authentic or just some ridiculous(-ly delicious) dish dreamed up by an American with too many tortilla chips — we love nachos. Yes, we are well aware that nachos made our “Top 5 Things White People do to Celebrate Cinco de Mayo” list, but we can’t help it. Cheese and tortilla chips were made for each other. To save a little face, we are cooking up these Steak Chimichurri Nachos to celebrate Cinco de Mayo. At least we aren’t smothering a bag o’ chips with Velveeta!
