If you follow RuPaul’s Drag Race you were probably shocked to learn that contestant Willam (Willam Belli) was recently disqualified for unspecified reasons. But fear not! Willam has used her recent departure from the program to promote “Chow Down (at Chick-fil-A)” a parody of the Wilson Phillips pop-feminist anthem, “Hold On”. “Chow Down” takes aim at Chick-fil-A’s stance on gay marriage, which triggered several protests around the country.
Chick-fil-A officially denies having a stance on gay marriage and LGBT rights in general. However, Chick-fil-A’s founders have a charitable organization called the WinShape Foundation and they have been recently outed as contributing heavily to anti-gay marriage groups as well as organizations like Exodus International which promote “ex-gay” therapy.
