Restaurateurs Craig DeMarco and Lauren Bailey are at it again. The duo behind Upward Projects, the restaurant group responsible for all three Postino locations, as well as Windsor, Churn, and Federal Pizza, have announced that their latest concept, Joyride Taco House, will open inside downtown Gilbert’s Historic Grainbelt Building on June 3.

Located at 302 North Gilbert Road (northwest corner of Gilbert Road and Page Avenue), Joyride Taco House will join Upward Projects’ neighboring Postino East in the renovated Grainbelt building.

And Joyride’s eats, described as “Mexican food made for daily life,” come with a little expert inspiration — namely, from Minerva Orduño Rincón, owner of Muñeca Mexicana handcrafted food and Chow Bella contributor, as well as three others.

The 3,400-square-foot beach-themed space will feature garage doors in the front and the back of the building, two patios, and décor elements like custom-made concrete tiles imported from Mexico.

Joyride Taco House will be open for lunch and dinner service daily with the hours of 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and 11 a.m. to 12 a.m. Friday and Saturday.
