Here’s our idea of a pretty decent 24-hour period beginning on, say, a Saturday: sleep in, drink coffee, maybe walk around and stuff, watch college football on TV, go out or whatever at night, come home, sleep in.
What sounds like heaven to us is hell to others, especially those brave souls participating in the 24 Hours of Fury Endurance Ride. You know what these crazy fools are doing for 24 hours straight? Riding mountain bikes around and around and around at McDowell Mountain Regional Park. Whoever completes the most loops wins. Ack. Sounds like our version of hell. That’s why we’ll be watching and not partaking, then maybe we’ll go out or whatever.
