There was some recent buzz that the longstanding Vietnamese restaurant on Camelback Road was closing, and I just got word that they finally shut their doors (the phone number is disconnected).

But I can’t say I’ll miss Pho Bang one bit.

Sure, I’d enjoyed quite a few bowls of pho there years ago, but that feels like ancient history now. Things seemed to go downhill, and the last time I was there, the experience was such crap that I blogged about it that same afternoon.

If another Vietnamese restaurant ends up filling the vacancy, I can only hope the proprietors are armed with a bucket of bleach and a giant can of Raid.
