Black Carl is basically the perfect band to play at the “PLASTER THIS! The Art of the Concert Poster” First Friday exhibit. Why? Because the Tempe-based group incorporates all that’s good and fine with music, including upbeat rock, soul grit, and booty-shaking grooves. As for “PLASTER THIS,” the exhibit features the artwork of Psyko Steve, Ben Allgood, Michelle Donovan, TAZ, and Josh Rodriguez, all who have interpreted the graphically striking concert poster. Holly Rolling Empire and Walk to Chicago are also scheduled to perform.
Fri., June 6, 6:30 p.m., 2008
