The awkward holiday party? Most of us have been there — except this year, The Saguaro, the stylish new hotel that opened the first week of November in Scottsdale (formerly Hotel Theodore and Mondrian), has decided to have one of their own — on purpose.
Aptly named the “Tis the season to be… Awkward!” holiday party, the event is scheduled from 3 to 10 p.m., this Saturday, November 26, and is free with a donation of canned food. Party goers are encouraged to wear ugly sweaters and spend some time in the awkward family photo booth, where prizes will be given for the best photos. A leftovers-inspired menu, seasonal cocktails, DJ Funkfinger, and the opening of Christmas in America, a photo series by artist Jesse Rieser, will be part of the awkward entertainment as well.
And for those whose awkwardness inhibits their ability to drive a motorized vehicle, The Saguaro is offering special room rates of $99 (promo code AWKRD.)
