Kai, the top-notch restaurant of Native American cuisine with global accents, has been seeing a lot of stars and diamonds lately — and we ain’t talkin’ Lucky Charms.
Located in the Sheraton Wild Horse Pass Resort & Spa on the Gila River Indian Reservation near Chandler, Kai was the sole Arizona restaurant to be awarded the highest rating of five stars in the 54th annual listing of five-star and four-star hospitality establishments worldwide by Forbes Travel Guide, joining an elite group of only 25 five-star restaurants in North America.
In addition, Kai, led by Executive Chef Michael O’Dowd, was the only restaurant in the state to receive a five-diamond award from AAA on their list of 2012 five-diamond winners.
The announcements mark Kai’s fourth five-star rating and sixth five-diamond designation.
