Further proof that if enough people wish for something, it just might happen: Lola Tapas will soon start opening for lunch.
“It seems like every week I have regulars and new people telling me we should be open for lunch,” says owner Felicia Ruiz.
She confirmed the rumor today, explaining that when they were still doing morning coffee service at the restaurant (before her ex-husband Daniel Wayne opened Lola Coffee, on Central, a few months back), lots of people assumed they were also open for lunch. She figured, why not try it?
Ruiz’s menu will be a variation of the existing menu, with salads, soups, and other dishes inspired by the Iberian Peninsula. But unlike the sharable dishes available at night, she’ll be offering more items suited to the individual lunchtime customer.
