After spying a new-ish show this weekend on The Cooking Channel called The Urban Grocer, we followed the young traveling foodie to her blog where Caitlin Zaino featured a pop-up concept called Eat with Me.
Based in Australia, Eat with Me is a social networking site dedicating to help you organize your own fun and funky food events like wonton making workshops, curry recipe swaps, or learning to make bread with new friends.
You login, post an idea and see who bites. Sounds pretty easy and fun.
Events currently listed: a coconut cookoff, “books and brunch” in Melbourne, and “drinking in the park” in Israel. We’d love to see ideas like this pop up here in the Valley. Breaking bread with new and old friends — always a fab idea.
