Sometimes I wish I had been in the movies. I mean, I know I would have cracked under the pressure of celebrity and developed a disgusting crack habit. But when I overdosed, Harkins Valley Art Theare in Tempe would have given me the raddest tribute ever.
This week, just like they did for John Hughes, Harkins is honoring the life and career of Patrick Swayze, who passed away on September 14th after a 20-month battle with pancreatic cancer.
The tribute started last Friday with a string of Swayze movie showings and I just want to remind everyone that you can still catch these fine films until this Thursday, October 1st.
The line-up includes Dirty Dancing, To Wong Foo Thanks for Everything, Julie Newmar, Point Break, Outsiders, Road House, Ghost, and the unforgettable classic, Red Dawn.
