One new idea for every day in 2011. We’re talking big, small, local, international, in action and on the drawing board. Here’s today’s — what’s yours?
Tim Devin‘s taking a survey.
The Boston-based artist is known for putting his work in public places, and in March, he began calling out to his neighborhood of Somerville with a series of posters, which he calls “BBC Broadsides.”
Some are more participatory, like the street survey above, others show demographic data on colorful maps of Boston neighborhoods. He’s also working on a series of poetic posters. Ultimately, he writes that he wants to engage his neighborhood and allow people to participate and voice their own opinions about where they live.
