What’s one to do on a Sunday night in downtown Phoenix? Going to bed early and vegging out seems like an appealing option, but by staying in, you’d miss all the fun Retro Hi-Fi at Sidebar has to offer.
The posh lounge could be overlooked if a potential customer wasn’t paying enough attention. Faint bass sounds can be heard from the parking lot, but quick jaunt up the stairs to Sidebar reveals a beautiful mix of brick walls, romantic ambient light, and bright drinks in martini glasses.
The lounge’s weekly party, Retro Hi-Fi encourages patrons to step away from their usual cozy seats at the bar to bust a move on the dance floor. On Sunday, September 23, the bar featured UK DJ Da Sunlounge, who played a good mix of deep house and funk tracks.
