This Sunday’s Great American Lawn Sale in Tempe is like any great yard sale … on steroids.
Mood Swings Salon & Skin Spa joined forces with Brand X — both are remodeling their spaces so they have tons of fun stuff — to bring the community a large-scale steal.
Added bonus: All proceeds will go to Tempe Community Action Agency, a nonprofit that provides social services to families and individuals in need.
Brandon Ferderer, general manager at Mood Swings, says the idea evolved from a team building activity to a full-on event. Not only will there be chandeliers, couches, tables, cabinets, vintage T-shirts and a super cool, old-school neon Mood Swings sign for sale, but there will also be music, raffle prizes, a “draw your own T-shirt” table and coffee from Revolution Café.

“We put it together in a way to get our community involved and spread the word about our local businesses, while helping to give back to the community that has supported us for 16 years,” Ferderer says.
The Great American Yard sale will be held on Sunday, February 13 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 1114 S. Wilson St. in the Mitchell Park Neighborhood in Tempe.
