Taylor Swift may be headlining the 2011 version of the Country Thunder music festival in Arizona.
The event’s organizers sent out a press releases today announcing the dates for the annual hootenanny: April 7-10, in Florence where the festival has been staged at Canyon Moon Ranch since outgrowing Schnepf Farms in Queen Creek a few years back.
The event’s spokesman said he will be announcing headliners on Wednesday, but appeared to tip his hand:
“Just a little hint, one of the headliners has the #1 record in the nation … hmmm!!!”

The number one single in the country is Rihanna’s “What’s My Name.” Riri would be sort of an odd choice, though.
The number one album, on the other hand, is Taylor Swift’s Speak Now.
We’ll have to wait for final confirmation next week, but I think it’s pretty safe to expect Ms. Swift at Country Thunder.
