One new idea for every day in 2011. We’re talking big, small, local, international, in action and on the drawing board. Here’s today’s — what’s yours?
Ruth Carter admits she falls into the “poor law school kid” category. She’s in her last semester at ASU’s College of Law, she’ll take the Bar Exam in July, and she’s reaching out to the online community to help her flip the bill.
Carter’s asking members of the community to sponsor one day of her remaining education — from January 1 to July 27 — and in exchange, she’ll blog about the sponsor’s business or personal cause.
The cost of sponsorship increases with the day (so January 1 was $1, January 2 was $2 and July 27 will be $208) and she says on her blog that the same amount of time will go into each post, regardless of the cost.
When news happens, Phoenix New Times is there —
Your support strengthens our coverage.
We’re aiming to raise $30,000 by December 31, so we can continue covering what matters most to you. If New Times matters to you, please take action and contribute today, so when news happens, our reporters can be there.
Eventually, Carter writes she hopes to be a “lawyer to the geeks” and specialize in internet law and intellectual property as well as address cyber bulling. To sponsor a day or for more information, check out Sponsor a Law Kid’s website.
