The Surfside IV look like they’re ready for battle in this flier promoting their show tonight, May 6 at the Desert Botanical Garden. The fab foursome are veterans in the local music scene, rocking out since 2002 and looking like hip cats while doing so.
Their show tonight is part of the pretty, natural venue’s Spiked! Thursday’s series, which brings music, cocktails and art together in a gorgeous desert landscape setting.
Don’t think the boys–who yes, are that cool enough to wear sunglasses at night–got dressed up just for the flier shoot–the group dons suits, ties and fezzes at every show, making for both visually and sonically stimulating concerts.
The band, which cites classic artists such as Dick Dale and The Ventures as influences, has a 60’s-infused, fun surf rock sound that’ll get you in the mood for summer. This is the last night in the DBG Spiked! series, which has also featured acts such as Black Carl and The Love Me Nots.

Besides the music and art, Spiked! will also be offering some Southwestern eats–perfect if you wish Cinco de Mayo was every day. Dig in to goodies such as street tacos, homemade salsa and spicy chorizo. Wine is also only $3 from 6-7 p.m.
