Staind vocalist/guitarist Aaron Lewis
We got word late yesterday that the Edge 103.9’s annual holiday concert “How the Carolla Stole Christmas,” scheduled to happen tonight at Dodge Theatre, has been cancelled due to the illness of Staind frontman/guitarist Aaron Lewis. Refunds for the event are available at point of purchase.
The gig was scheduled to feature performance by a number of alt-rock and nu-metal bands, including Papa Roach and Hoobastank, as well as an appearance by radio morning man Adam Carolla (hence the title of the show).
Details on the cancellation were posted on the Web site for the show’s promoter, Luckyman Productions:

Staind has been forced to cancel Tuesday’s concert at the Dodge Theatre in Phoenix, AZ, as lead vocalist Aaron Lewis has been diagnosed with bronchitis and is under doctor’s orders to rest his voice for a few days and refrain from performing full shows. Staind sincerely regrets this unavoidable cancellation and apologizes to fans for any disappointment caused.
We recommend lots of hot tea with honey, Aaron. — Benjamin Leatherman
