One of the Valley’s prize Midcentury Modern gems, Hotel Valley Ho has a rich and storied past. Nearly in its 60s, the hotel has played home for stars like Bing Crosby, Cary Grant, Marilyn Monroe, and Natalie Wood. These days it hosts posh cocktail carnivals, summertime swims, and chic staycations.
Lovers of history and Hollywood alike will get to explore the nooks and crannies of Edward Varney’s design with an “ultimate” walking tour, sponsored by the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art and led by Ace Bailey of Ultimate Art and Cultural Tours.
Take the tour at 1 p.m. on Sunday, April 12, at Hotel Valley Ho, 6850 East Main Street in Scottsdale. Valet parking is available. Tickets are $19.56 and can be purchased online at www.smoca.org or by calling 480-499-8587.
