Phoenix police are asking the public’s help in tracking down the killer of a Phoenix man murdered early Saturday morning.
The victim, whom police identified as 21-year-old Aaron Mathew Ford, was shot just after midnight on Saturday, near the northbound access road to the Black Canyon Freeway near 4450 N. Black Canyon Road.
Except for the victim’s name, investigators “really don’t have much go to on,” Phoenix police Sergeant Trent Crump tells New Times.
Phoenix police responded to a call of shots fired, but when they got to the scene, Ford, who lived in a nearby apartment complex, was already dead.

Witnesses say they heard arguing, followed by the several shots, and then heard a car driving away.
Crump says it’s unclear whether Ford walked to the scene of the murder or if he was driven there by someone else.
Police are trying to determine where Ford was before the shooting.
