Sports giant Nike aired an ad today that even has us scratching our heads wondering “is there no shame.”
The black-and-white ad shows a sullen-looking Tiger standing on a golf course with the voice of his dead father speaking to him.
“Tiger, I am more prone to be inquisitive, to promote discussion. I want to find out what your thinking was. I want to find out what your feelings are. And did you learn anything,” Earl Woods’ posthumous voice is heard saying as Tiger stands silently — making his best sad face.
After the tough six months Tiger’s endured — ya know, the porn stars and cocktail waitresses, followed by stints in rehabs in both Arizona and Mississippi, and the relentless media coverage — it’s actually kind of a touching moment.
