Arizona Attorney General Terry Goddard went on Fox News this morning to pimp his latest probe into mortgage companies he says provide flawed foreclosure documents.
He came across well — for example, he didn’t say anything like “we have did what’s right for Arizona,” as his opponent in the gubernatorial election, Jan Brewer, infamously said during the gubernatorial debate.
Name recognition is important in politics — so you’d think Goddard, currently running for governor in Arizona, would want the anchor on the show to say his correctly. He apparently wasn’t too worried about it because after host Jenna Lee referred to him as Terry Guh-dard — with the emphasis on the “dard” — on several occasions, he didn’t correct her.
Like a lot of things that have gone on during Goddard’s time in the AG’s Office — most notably, allowing a maniac sheriff like Joe Arpaio and his lap-dog, former County Attorney Andrew Thomas, to run amok in Maricopa County — Goddard just let it go.
