We never need an excuse to grab a cold cone of ice cream. But when you’ve got a good excuse like National Ice Cream Day — and a couple of deals to celebrate the occasion — indulging your sweet tooth pretty much becomes a no-brainer.
This Sunday, July 19 two of our favorite local ice cream shops are offering deals and discounts to customers in celebration of this national day of ice cream.
At both the Phoenix and Scottsdale locations of Sweet Republic, the first 49 customers will get a free scoop of ice cream. And if you’re the lucky 50th customer to swing by you’ll get a free Ultimate Sundae, which includes four scoops of vanilla and chocolate on quarter-pound chocolate chip walnut oatmeal cookie with brownies, almond toffee brittle, hot fudge, salted caramel sauce, whip cream, and roasted marshmallow.
Churn in Phoenix will also celebrate National Ice Cream day by offering $1 miniature scoops of a special limited edition flavor: White-Chocolate and Meyer Lemon Olive Oil. The National Ice Cream Day flavor, which is made with Queen Creek Olive Mill’s Meyer Lemon Olive Oil, will only be available from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
