Benny Peralta’s a caring guy who helps the elderly. Until they piss him off.
The 46-year-old became enraged while getting fired yesterday by his employer, a woman who had hired him to assist with her disabled, 62-year-old husband, Phoenix police say. As the husband sat in his wheelchair, Peralta snatched the family dog from his lap and slammed it into a wall, cops say.
Peralta’s accused of then knocking the man from his wheelchair and stabbing him with a knife. When the wife tried to stop him, he hit her with a frying pan. The disable man’s still in critical condition.

Peralta was arrested today and faces potential charges that include attempted murder. Police say he ‘fessed up to what he did, but “showed no signs of remorse for is actions.”
Based on these allegations, we’ll venture to guess he was being fired for valid reasons.
