Arizona House Speaker Andy Tobin announced today that he’s “just sick of Washington, D.C.”
The Republican is so sick of Washington that he’s asking people to help him get a job there, with a $174,000-a-year, taxpayer-funded salary.
(He’s running for Congress.)
Tobin announced his move by immediately blaming Democratic Congresswoman Ann Kirkpatrick for closing the Grand Canyon.

“Kirkpatrick is so committed to protecting ObamaCare and supporting Nancy Pelosi, she has literally voted to shut down the Grand Canyon,” his announcement says.
Since there was no bill that calls for shutting down the Grand Canyon, Kirkpatrick literally did not do that. She did vote against piecemeal funding of federal parks and memorials, though.
Anyway, as you can see in the photo above, Tobin’s suddenly a cowboy now that he’s running for Congress.
Somehow, Congressional races in Arizona seem to turn otherwise suit-wearing Republicans into surprise cowboys.
