Robin Lopez, the Phoenix Suns’ 7-foot center, is likely to return to action against the Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA’s Western Conference Finals, beginning at 6 p.m. tonight from La La Land, after suffering a back injury in March.
The Suns are outsized by the Lakers with 7-footers like Andrew Bynum and Pau Gasol, not to mention 6-foot-10 Lamar Odom, so having another big man on the floor seems to be a must for the Suns to even stand a chance against the Lakers.
Suns coach Alvin Gentry announced last week that Lopez will play in a limited capacity for the Suns, which gave fans a shred of hope that the team could get Steve Nash to the NBA Finals for the first time in his career.
Many say that even with Lopez playing, the Suns haven’t a prayer, but we want to know what you think: Is Lopez enough to push the Suns to the top over Kobe & Co.
