Arizonans are not big on charity.
That’s according to the latest Gallup poll comparing the states, which found that only 26 percent of Arizonans said they’d donated money and volunteered their time in the past month — tied for the third-lowest rate in the nation.

Only Kentucky and Nevada had lower rates, at 24 percent.
As far as donating money, 60 percent of Arizonans said they’d done that over the past month, which was on the lower end of the spectrum.

The percentage of people who volunteered their time was at 35 percent, which almost at the very bottom.
Meanwhile, in Utah, 71 percent of people had donated money, and 56 percent donated their time — 48 percent said they did both.
Gallup also recently found that Arizona’s one a few states where more than one-third of the people they polled don’t like living here. Arizonans: a pessimistic bunch.
