In case you didn’t already know, Check, Please! Arizona is kind of a big deal.
Recently, the Arizona PBS program won its fourth Rocky Mountain Emmy award for “Interview/Discussion — Program/Special or Series” — and for the fourth time in five years. James Beard Award-winning chef Robert McGrath hosts the half-hour program, in which local diners pick restaurants to visit and then review in a roundtable-style discussion.
It’s got something of a cult following and here’s the cool news: if you want to be on the show, all you have to do is be at The Dhaba in Tempe tomorrow night.
Okay, technically, being at the restaurant tomorrow night will just get you a chance of being featured on the show.

We’re aiming to raise $30,000 by December 31, so we can continue covering what matters most to you. If New Times matters to you, please take action and contribute today, so when news happens, our reporters can be there.
According to an email from the restaurant, diners who make a reservation at the Tempe restaurant between 5 and 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 28, will have a chance to be featured on the show. Diners will also get 25 percent off the check.
Reservations can be made online. For more information about The Dhaba visit the restaurant’s website.
