Though it’s only just begun, spring already feels like summer. Desert Botanical Garden is helping to ease that transition with its annual Agave on the Rocks event. Cool off by strolling the garden after sunset, salted rim in hand.

Noted tequileria, Azunia Tequila, of the Jalisco region of Mexico, will host a two-hour tasting featuring their blue agave-based booze and a conversation about tequila. Cocktail consumers won’t be drinking on an empty stomach: light samples from the Garden’s in-house restaurant, Gertrude’s, Los Sombreros, and Paletas Betty will be available.

Sip and saunter throughout the grounds from 6 to 10 p.m. on Friday, March 27, at 1201 North Galvin Parkway. Tickets are $75 for the 21-and-older cocktail crawl, $70 for members. Call 480-481-8188 or click www.dbg.org.

Fri., March 27, 6-10 p.m., 2015
