This year, the Arizona Diamondbacks are like your lazy friend from high school. Both have fallen short of their potential and disappointed a lot of people, but both are also entertaining enough to make spending time with them worthwhile.

Like your shiftless pal, the ’09 D-Backs haven’t amounted to much – with the exception of Mark Reynolds. Not only has the third baseman put together one of the best seasons by a position player in franchise history, but he also has a shot at leading the majors in home runs.

Get a good look at Reynolds when the D-Backs kick off their last home stand of the season against the San Francisco Giants.
