The Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam, and San Xavier del Bac are all Arizona icons that have been captured by some equally iconic photographers. You can take a gander at the combination, on view at the Norton Photography Gallery at Phoenix Art Museum through March 4, 2012, as part of the Arizona Centennial.
The exhibition, “Iconic Arizona: Celebrating the Arizona Centennial,” will showcase the work of photographers Ansel Adams, Edward Weston, and Aaron Siskind, as well as images from David Muench, Dick Arentz, and John Schaefer.
The museum will also be accepting submissions from visitors of their takes on the Copper State’s idols via its website through mid-November. Submitted images will be compiled into a digital slideshow displayed in the gallery and online.
Wednesdays-Sundays; Sun., Nov. 20, 12-5 p.m. Starts: Nov. 12. Continues through March 12, 2011
