So sings the teenage ingenue of Bye Bye Birdie in “How Lovely to Be a Woman.” April Flores, star of the film Voluptuous Biker Babes, seems to agree, and then some: The plus-size porn diva’s abundant allurements are on proud display in the campy low-budget opus from director Carlos Batts, playing at Chandler Cinemas.
Flores, a.k.a. Fatty Delicious and/or Fatty D, and two other Junoesque beauties have steamy adventures in roughly the same stretch of desert as did the gals in Russ Meyer’s Faster Pussycat! Kill! Kill! back in 1965. That pretty much sums up Voluptuous Biker Babes, but for zealots of the zaftig, plot isn’t the point.
Playing on a “Grindhouse Redux” double bill with VBB is the offbeat and seasonally appropriate 1986 scare flick April Fool’s Day.
