Sometimes after a long day of work, all you need is to roll up your sleeves, grab a brush, and plunge your hands into some paint. Well, at least we do. If you’re like us, then you need to be at Art After Work at Tempe Center for the Arts, 700 West Rio Salado Parkway. Once a month, art teacher Laura Hukill teaches students of all levels to paint like the greats. On Wednesday, January 14, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. prepare to channel your inner Van Gogh as you learn to paint Trio of Sun Flowers. Each class is $35, which includes supplies and an $8 food and drink voucher. Classes are capped at 25 people and require online registration at www.tempe.gov. For more information, call 480-350-2880.
