In keeping with our postmodern or post postmodern (depending on your preference) world in which one must surrender to the idea of constantly referencing, well, everything that has already existed, it’s only inevitable that I, Arty Girl, would come full circle and blog about preexisting blogs.
First up, remember this? It’s my blog from a while back reminding people to submit entries for West Valley Art Museum’s “My Artsy Pet”. In it, I voiced some concerns about the quality of works.
Now the show is open and, from what I can tell, it looks like it may not
be that bad. I haven’t made the trek to see all the works, but the
images I have seen run the gamut from predictably artsy and mildly entertaining…
to one step away from a lol cat…

Second order of business is in reference to my blog from the other day about making donations to keep our Valley’s museums and art institutions thriving. As of yesterday, the Phoenix Art Museum cut their hours. Unfortunately, they are no longer open on Tuesday. Good news is, however, they generously kept their weekly “free night”…it changed to Wednesdays.
New Hours:
Wednesday 10 am – 9 pm
Thursday-Saturday 10 am – 5 pm
Sunday 10 am – 5 pm
